It’s the middle of March and the 2018 March Madness Tournament has officially kicked off. It turns out that Jordan Brand design an Air Jordan 3 PE for the entire roster of the Georgetown Hoyas. Jordan Brand had whipped up an Air Jordan 3 PE for the team back in 2012 too. This latest iteration appears to have uppers dressed up in a light shade of Grey with the signature elephant print overlays and it also features some Navy-colored detailing too. This will not hit the shelves, but the Air Jordan 3 Flyknit “Black” was supposed to. However, it turns out that its release has been postponed.
Dominic Chambrone, the sneaker customizer better known as The Shoe Surgeon, has also been busy customizing the Air Jordan 3 “Tinker.” His custom rendition of the Air Jordan 3 “Tinker” will join the Air Jordan 1 as a part of a “Beast” Pack. Drawing inspiration from the atmos x Nike Air Max “Beast 2.0” Pack, the Air Jordan 3 features the exotic materials like faux python leather, Horween leather, Japanese plonge leather, and pony hair. Sneakerheads who visit his pop-up shop on March 17 at 8 am PST will be able to pre-order the Air Jordan 3 “Beast” that The Shoe Surgeon has whipped up.
The Air Jordan 3 Flyknit “Black” would have been up for grabs very soon, but it seems that will not be happening. It will indeed be among upcoming Air Jordan releases 2018, but not as early as sneakerheads may have been expecting. A quick reminder, this Air Jordan 3 iteration has uppers made up of Flyknit rather than leather, dressed up predominantly in a Dark Anthracite hue. It does feature leather inner lining and waxed laces, making it appear more premium. It is equipped with simple all-Black midsoles, but its outsoles will actually glow in the dark. This Air Jordan 3 Flyknit “Black” was supposed to make its retail debut this month on March 18th. While it will still retail at the same price of $220, it will now hit the shelves five months later.
